So we've purchased our first actual house. Or the bank bought it for us, they're "just letting us live there until we pay off the note" as our lawyer put it.
Three bedroom, two bath, finished downstairs, two car garage, and a LOT of lawn. 0.67 acres worth (minus the 1000 sq. ft. or so of the house itself, and the driveway I guess). At least in the winter all we have to do is shovel the driveway.
Ah, lovely Southington, Connecticut. The neighborhood is nice, one neighbor stopped to offer assistance taking these photos. And we have a pond down the street with the local kids use to go fishing, our own flock of Canada Geese to avoid in the road every day, at least one other Jeep enthusiast in close proximity, and a Super Price Chopper at the bottom of the hill. Honestly it doesn't get any better than this. Oh, except we're in a FEMA-declared flood plain, and we get to contribute $1000 a month to Federal 'disaster agency' by way of our insurance company. Yeah!
So here's a couple pics from right after the closing. More to follow, you can be sure.
