Katie and Mike's Excellent Adventure in Korea -- Day 1

Katie touched down (no she didn't score a touchdown, she just arrived via plane) in the "Land of the Morning Calm" at the wonderful morning hour of 5am local time. She waited a couple hours at the beautiful Seoul airport until Mike came round 7:30 and they both got a bus and rode to the base. The trip begins!

Katie had already not slept in over 30 hours, but there was no time to rest. We got breakfast and then a quick visit to Mike's "barracks" and finally settled down to watch "Dark Knight" at the movie theater on base. Two thumbs up! I energized with a little workout at the hotel gym before dinner, while Mike decided he didnt want to get sweaty so he watched TV in the room...oh the room, Mike got us the "romantic package" which included: a trail of rose petals to the bathroom and on the bed, chocolate strawberries, bubble bath and comfy robes. A brilliant move by the Lieutenant Commander! We ate dinner at the fancy restaurant in the hotel and finally (!) got to bed -- it only been over 50 hours since Katie had continuous sleep:)
